Job Description
The Communications Officer leads the development and execution of the project’s communication strategy, producing a range of media materials and managing stakeholder engagement to raise the visibility of the carbon initiative.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Studies or a related field
- • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in communication, media or public relations

Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement the One Mara Carbon Project communication and visibility strategy
- • Produce newsletters, brochures, factsheets, presentations, press releases and social‑media content
- • Document project activities, community experiences and impacts through stories, photography and video
- • Manage social‑media channels and ensure regular, engaging updates
- • Coordinate with conservancies, landowners, government agencies and donors to convey project messages
- • Conduct field travel within the Mara landscape to gather content and build relationships
- • Support internal teams with communication needs and ensure consistent branding
