Job Description
The volunteer Content Editor creates engaging video stories for Asante Africa Foundation’s communications. Responsibilities include editing footage, producing short‑form social media videos, and ensuring brand consistency. The role requires strong storytelling ability and proficiency with editing software.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Experience editing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Canva or similar tools
- • Strong storytelling and visual‑design sense
- • Familiarity with creating content for social‑media platforms
- • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- • Passion for using storytelling to make a positive impact
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Edit raw video footage into compelling stories for marketing and fundraising campaigns
- • Produce short‑form videos and reels for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- • Add graphics, captions, transitions, music and branding elements to enhance content
- • Repurpose longer videos into concise clips optimized for social‑media engagement
- • Collaborate with the communications team to align videos with campaign goals and brand guidelines
- • Organise and manage video files and digital assets
- • Deliver final videos on schedule and in appropriate formats for each platform
- • Keep up‑to‑date with social‑media trends and suggest creative approaches to boost audience interaction
