Job Description
Costing Support Assistant provides analytical support to the finance team by tracking material usage, reconciling production records, and assisting with cost reporting. The role ensures accurate data collection for raw material consumption and helps maintain efficient production costing processes. Collaboration with production management and the costing department is essential to validate information and support decision‑making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (e.g., BA/BSc/HND)
- • Professional certification such as CPA II or equivalent
- • Strong analytical and numerical skills
- • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Collect and compile data on material usage during production
- • Track daily production outputs and raw material consumption
- • Reconcile production records to ensure accuracy
- • Communicate with production management to validate material usage
- • Support the Management Accountant with costing analyses and reporting
- • Perform other duties as assigned by the Costing Department
