Job Description
The Credit Controller will manage the end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash process for construction projects, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and effective credit risk management. The role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, reconciling accounts, and complying with Kenyan tax regulations to protect working capital. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- • Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 9
- • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and look‑up functions
- • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Prepare and issue accurate invoices based on contracts, LPOs, delivery notes, and project milestones
- • Monitor debtor ageing and drive collections to meet monthly targets
- • Assess customer creditworthiness, set credit limits, and recommend payment terms
- • Perform account reconciliations and allocate customer receipts correctly
- • Track retentions, advance payments, and guarantee deposits
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax requirements and internal controls
- • Produce regular cash‑flow and credit risk reports for management
- • Support the finance team with month‑end close and audit activities
