Job Description
The Curtain Wall Installation Technician installs and assembles aluminium and glass façade systems for commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, precise measurement, and coordination with site teams to deliver high‑quality installations on schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Relevant technical training in aluminium fabrication, glazing, façade installation, or a related field
- • Proven experience installing curtain wall systems on building projects
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- • Knowledge of aluminium framing systems, glass installation, sealants, and waterproofing
- • Experience using installation tools and equipment
- • Knowledge of working‑at‑height safety procedures
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install curtain wall systems, including aluminium frames, glass panels, brackets, and associated components
- • Read and interpret technical drawings, installation plans, and façade specifications
- • Measure, mark, align, and position structural framing and façade components
- • Install anchors, brackets, gaskets, sealants, and weatherproofing materials
- • Ensure correct alignment, levelling, plumb, and secure fixing of installed components
- • Inspect completed installations for quality, stability, water tightness, and finishing
- • Identify and report installation defects and recommend corrective action
- • Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, glaziers, and other construction teams
- • Follow working‑at‑height procedures and all applicable site safety requirements
