Job Description
The Data Management Officer & Geospatial Systems specialist will oversee the collection, maintenance, and analysis of geospatial data to support IGAD’s regional initiatives. Duties include managing GIS databases, producing maps, and ensuring data quality for decision‑making. Expertise in GIS software and data governance is required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- • Minimum two years of experience in geospatial data management
- • Proficiency with ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar GIS software
- • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
