Job Description
The Demand Planning Lead drives accurate forecasting by analysing market trends, sales data, and demand drivers to develop reliable demand plans. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to optimise inventory levels, improve product availability, and reduce cost exposure. Continuous improvement of forecasting models and communication of insights are central to the position.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field such as Business, Economics or Supply Chain
- • Minimum 3 years experience in demand planning, inventory management or related supply‑chain function
- • Strong analytical, mathematical and statistical abilities
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or demand‑planning systems
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Build and maintain demand forecast models using historical sales, market insights, and business assumptions
- • Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, including forecast reviews and SKU‑level submissions
- • Track forecast accuracy metrics, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions
- • Communicate demand, inventory, and forecast assumptions to stakeholders and senior management
- • Coordinate with supply chain, sales, and finance teams to align plans and optimise inventory
- • Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting processes and tools
- • Prepare regular reports on demand trends, risks, and performance indicators
