Job Description
The Design Engineer will lead the engineering design and development of modular building projects, producing detailed structural and civil drawings, calculations and specifications. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, optimizing designs for safety and cost, and ensuring compliance with standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis tools is required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (BA/BSc/HND) or higher
- • Minimum 3 years experience in engineering design and project delivery
- • Professional certification or postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, MSc) is advantageous
- • Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software
- • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop, review and coordinate civil, structural and building designs for modular projects
- • Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, structural and fabrication drawings
- • Perform structural analysis and design optimisation to ensure safety and cost‑effectiveness
- • Create technical specifications and Bills of Quantities for construction
- • Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
- • Ensure design compatibility and minimise construction conflicts
- • Produce detailed construction details and general arrangement drawings
