Job Description
The Digital Security Engineer leads incident response and conducts security assessments to protect frontline human‑rights defenders, journalists, and civil‑society organisations. The role involves investigating breaches, implementing hardening measures, and providing technical guidance to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Experience with endpoint security and a strong understanding of the African threat landscape are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • MBA, MSc, or MA in a relevant field
- • Minimum 3+ years of experience in security engineering or a similar role
- • Proven experience in endpoint security, incident response, and security assessments
- • Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non‑technical audiences
- • Preference for candidates with security certifications (e.g., eJPT, Security+, GCIH, OSCP)
