Job Description

The Director leads the Commission’s complaints, investigations and legal services, developing policies, coordinating investigations, and providing legal advice to ensure accountability and compliance within public administration. Oversees alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and manages litigation with external counsel.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, or a related field (BA/BSc/HND acceptable).
  • • Minimum four years of experience in legal, investigative or regulatory roles.
  • • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning abilities.
  • • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • • Knowledge of public sector governance and dispute resolution processes.

  • • Develop, review and implement strategies and guidelines for complaints, investigations and legal services.
  • • Coordinate the handling of complaints, investigations and legal matters across the Commission.
  • • Design and facilitate formal hearing and inquiry mechanisms.
  • • Develop guidelines for alternative dispute resolution implementation.
  • • Lead investigations into alleged misconduct or improper conduct in state and county governments.
  • • Advise on mediation and reconciliation processes.
  • • Provide legal advice on the Commission’s regulations and statutes.
  • • Coordinate litigation matters with external advocates.
  • • Enforce compliance with Commission decisions and directives.
