Job Description
The Director of Strategic Research & Evidence will lead World Vision Kenya’s applied research agenda, overseeing evidence generation, data analytics and knowledge translation to inform programme strategy and fundraising. They will manage research teams, collaborate with academic partners and ensure findings are integrated into decision‑making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • MBA, MSc or MA in Research, Social Sciences, Public Health or related field
- • At least twelve years of progressive experience in applied research and evidence generation
- • Proven ability to lead virtual, matrixed teams and influence senior stakeholders
- • Expertise in statistical software (R, Python, Stata, SPSS) and business intelligence tools (Power BI)
- • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking skills

Responsibilities
- • Lead applied research, evidence synthesis and child‑data analytics across programmes
- • Commission and manage studies with universities and research institutions
- • Translate research findings into actionable insights for senior leadership and donors
- • Oversee development of dashboards, data products and analytical services
- • Ensure research informs programme quality, fundraising and policy advocacy
- • Manage a multidisciplinary research team and foster cross‑functional collaboration
- • Represent World Vision in external research forums and partnerships
