Job Description
The driver will deliver and collect car‑hire vehicles across Nairobi while ensuring each vehicle meets safety and cleanliness standards. They will conduct detailed pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, report any mechanical issues, and communicate status updates to the Operations Manager. Providing courteous client interaction and maintaining the fleet’s condition are essential to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum 2–3 years professional driving experience in Nairobi or surrounding areas
- • Valid Kenyan driving licence (Classes BCE or appropriate commercial endorsement) with a clean record
- • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles
- experience as a mechanic or assistant mechanic preferred
- • Good communication skills and reliable availability via phone/WhatsApp
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Safely deliver and collect car‑hire vehicles to and from client locations across Nairobi
- • Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, checking engine, tires, fluids and overall condition
- • Conduct basic mechanical checks and report any issues
- • Interact professionally with clients, explaining vehicle controls and ensuring satisfaction
- • Communicate delivery updates and vehicle status to the Operations Manager via phone and WhatsApp
- • Keep the fleet clean, fueled and maintained between trips
