Job Description
The Driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for World Bank staff and ensure proper maintenance of the organization’s vehicle fleet. Duties include planning and executing travel logistics, coordinating with garages for repairs, maintaining accurate vehicle records, and supporting administrative tasks as needed. A valid driving license and strong time‑management skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or equivalent high school qualification
- • Minimum 5 years experience in professional driving
- • Valid Kenyan driving license with defensive driving and first‑aid certifications
- • Good command of English (verbal and written)
- • Familiarity with Nairobi road network and traffic regulations
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Plan and provide transport services for official activities, including field trips and VIP missions
- • Liaise with authorized garages for vehicle repairs and routine maintenance
- • Maintain detailed records of vehicle information, maintenance dates, insurance, and fuel consumption
- • Record mileage and trip details for all World Bank vehicles
- • Organize transport for senior staff and mission teams in Kenya
- • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times
- • Assist with administrative tasks related to vehicle management as required
