Job Description
The Debt Recovery Unit (DRU) Manager designs and executes debt recovery strategies for Fincorp Credit Limited, leading a team to improve collection performance across Kenya. The role monitors delinquent loan portfolios, develops recovery plans, and collaborates with credit, risk and legal teams to ensure compliance and effective resolution. Strong leadership, analytical and regulatory knowledge are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- • Professional certification in credit or risk management preferred
- • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in credit management or debt collection
- • Strong knowledge of credit and debt recovery practices and regulatory requirements
- • High level of integrity, professionalism and accountability
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies to improve collection performance
- • Lead, supervise and motivate the Debt Recovery Unit team to achieve set targets
- • Monitor delinquent and non‑performing loan portfolios and initiate timely interventions
- • Design and track recovery plans for overdue and non‑performing accounts
- • Review recovery performance reports and provide regular updates to senior management
- • Identify trends and challenges affecting collections and recommend corrective actions
- • Ensure follow‑up and management of outstanding customer accounts
- • Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Legal, Branches and other teams to support recovery efforts
- • Ensure all recovery activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
