Job Description
The EHS Specialist will implement and continuously improve environmental, health and safety procedures across Kerry’s Greater Africa manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local legislation, ISO standards, and internal policies, while fostering a strong safety culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Science or a related field
- • 3‑5 years of EHS experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- • NEBOSH or IOSH certification is an advantage
- • Working knowledge of the OHS Act and National Environmental Management Act
- • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and internal auditing
- • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and root‑cause analysis

Responsibilities
- • Ensure staff and contractors understand and comply with EHS procedures and practices
- • Administer and maintain compliance with all Kerry LIFE rules
- • Drive safety culture and promote safe working practices at all organizational levels
- • Implement and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
- • Facilitate internal and external EHS audits and implement corrective actions
- • Train employees and contractors on EHS systems and incident prevention
- • Support implementation of office safety programs across the Greater Africa region
