Job Description
The Emergency Medical Technician provides rapid pre‑hospital care, assesses and stabilizes patients, and ensures safe transport to medical facilities. He/she operates ambulance equipment, documents patient information, and works collaboratively with emergency response teams. The role demands quick decision‑making and adherence to clinical protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with current registration
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- additional health‑science training preferred
- • Minimum 1 year experience in pre‑hospital emergency care
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- • Strong communication, teamwork, and stress‑management skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deliver prompt emergency medical care and assess patient conditions on scene
- • Stabilize patients using appropriate interventions and equipment
- • Safely transport patients to hospitals while monitoring vital signs
- • Maintain ambulance equipment, supplies, and cleanliness
- • Document patient care reports accurately and timely
- • Coordinate with hospital staff and emergency dispatch for seamless handover
- • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain certification
