Job Description
The Expeditor coordinates transportation activities to ensure timely and cost‑effective movement of goods for DHL Supply Chain. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and works remotely from Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, transportation, or a related field
- • Minimum three years of experience in transportation or logistics coordination
- • Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- • Familiarity with transportation management systems and route‑optimization tools
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to manage large transport networks in near‑real time
- • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Build optimal routes for the dedicated fleet using the customer database
- • Identify and resolve transportation issues such as delays or route changes
- • Plan routes to minimize transit times and improve delivery schedules
- • Implement problem‑solving strategies to maintain service levels
- • Enhance customer service performance
- • Coordinate drivers, carriers, and logistics partners to execute transport plans
- • Work with regulatory bodies and internal teams to address compliance matters
- • Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, on‑time delivery, and cost
