Job Description
The Facility Supervisor will oversee daily operations of a data‑center facility in Nairobi, ensuring reliability and efficiency of critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing installation, repair, and maintenance of power and cooling systems, leading a technical team, and coordinating projects to upgrade infrastructure. The role also focuses on safety culture, compliance, and vendor management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (BA/BSc/HND)
- • Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a data‑center or mission‑critical environment
- • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
- • In‑depth knowledge of data‑center infrastructure, including power, cooling and fire‑suppression systems
- • Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD and advanced Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
- • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the data‑center, including monitoring of critical systems
- • Oversee installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of UPS, generators, transformers, power distribution and fire‑suppression equipment
- • Support the Facility Manager in planning and executing infrastructure upgrade projects
- • Supervise and coordinate sub‑contracted workforce to ensure quality and compliance
- • Assign, prioritize, and review work plans for the operations team
- • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to industry standards
