Job Description
The Fashion Designer & Pattern Maker creates original garment concepts and translates them into detailed patterns for production, ensuring aesthetic appeal and technical accuracy. Working within the Artfit team, the designer collaborates with merchandisers and production staff to bring collections to market.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field
- • Proven experience in garment design and pattern making
- • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical proficiency
- • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, construction techniques, and garment production
- • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop original design concepts and mood boards for seasonal collections
- • Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for each garment
- • Produce accurate patterns and sample prototypes for approval
- • Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to ensure feasibility and quality
- • Conduct fittings, adjust patterns, and refine designs based on feedback
- • Stay informed of fashion trends and incorporate them into design work
