Job Description
The Field Specialist will provide technical expertise and on‑site support for drilling operations, supervising junior engineers and advising customers on product applications. Responsibilities include problem resolution at well sites, ensuring compliance with HSE policies, and delivering solutions within a global matrix environment. The role demands a strong engineering background and at least three years of drilling experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (BA/BSc/HND)
- • Minimum 3 years experience in drilling operations
- • Skilled in drilling operations and related applications
- • Ability to identify suitable products and services for simple to complex scenarios
- • Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global matrix organization
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide direct instruction and supervision to junior field engineers on well‑site activities
- • Advise external customers and third‑party colleagues on appropriate product and service selections
- • Resolve complex technical problems at well sites using data analysis and product knowledge
- • Ensure all activities comply with Baker Hughes HSE policies and legal requirements
- • Execute additional duties as assigned by field supervisors and operations management
