The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations for Sabar Airlines, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and risk management across Kenya, Somalia, and South Sudan. Responsibilities include producing monthly management accounts, managing the ERP system, and leading the finance team at the head office and branch locations. The role requires a university degree in accounting or finance with a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA, and at least ten years of progressive finance experience, including senior management. Qualifications & Requirements
- • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
- • Full professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA)
- a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- • Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in senior management.
- • Experience managing finance across multiple countries or branches with inter‑company accounting.
- • Proven track record of building internal controls in a cash‑intensive environment.
- • Hands‑on experience with an ERP accounting system, preferably Odoo.
- • Experience in airline, travel or aviation finance, including passenger and cargo revenue accounting, is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities
- • Identify, assess and manage financial and fiduciary risks, escalating significant matters to the General Manager and the Board.
- • Ensure tax and statutory obligations in Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan are met on time.
- • Coordinate external audit and respond to internal audit findings, implementing action plans.
- • Produce monthly management accounts and a KPI dashboard covering revenue, cost, profit per flight and route, and receivables.
- • Own the finance configuration of the ERP (Odoo), maintaining user access and complete records at every branch.
- • Lead, coach and develop finance staff at head office and each branch, including Station Accountants.
- • Set performance expectations and build the technical capacity of the team.
- • Represent the airline with banks, auditors, tax and civil aviation authorities, suppliers and travel partners on financial matters.
