Job Description
The Finance Specialist will manage the organization’s financial records, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate reporting. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring cash flow, supporting payroll, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments. A background in finance within the solar or technical sector is advantageous.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
- • CPA qualification or progress toward CPA
- • 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- • Good understanding of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- • Strong analytical and numerical skills
- • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- • Experience in the solar, power, engineering, construction, or technical industry (preferred)

Responsibilities
- • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- • Manage accounts payable and receivable
- • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment schedules, and financial reconciliations
- • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and company budgets
- • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
- • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments
- • Support payroll preparation and statutory deductions
- • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial transactions
- • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- • Collaborate with management, procurement, sales, and other departments on financial matters
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax and statutory requirements
- • Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective action
- • Support internal and external audits when required
