Job Description
The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for Marriott’s Nairobi operations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing strategic financial analysis to senior management. The role requires strong leadership and a solid accounting background.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA or ACCA qualification preferred
- • Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, including supervisory roles
- • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills

- • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- • Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax regulations and international accounting standards
- • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll and fixed‑asset accounting
- • Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and performance reviews
