Job Description
The Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant will lead the preparation of management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for ILRI. Responsibilities include analyzing performance, developing KPIs, and presenting insights to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders. The role requires at least six years of relevant experience and a strong background in accounting and analytical tools. Advanced knowledge of accounting software and programming is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
- • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial planning, analysis or accounting
- • Advanced proficiency with computerized accounting software and programming languages
- • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and business‑analysis skills
- • Excellent oral, written and presentation abilities
- • Ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports with analysis and commentary
- • Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators and dashboards
- • Perform variance and trend analyses to assess budget performance and resource utilization
- • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, consolidating data and producing reports
- • Build financial models and scenario analyses to aid strategic decision‑making
- • Present complex financial information clearly to finance and non‑finance audiences
- • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- • Collaborate with various departments to gather data and drive financial stewardship
