Job Description
The Broker Incubation Officer will support Old Mutual Kenya’s distribution network by recruiting and developing brokers, managing sales pipelines, and driving product revenue growth. The role focuses on building strong broker relationships, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate business reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Business‑related degree (e.g., BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent qualification
- • Minimum 3 years experience in brokerage, sales or distribution channel management
- • Proven ability to develop and grow broker networks
- • Strong analytical, reporting and negotiation skills
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Respond to quotation requests and develop prospects into new business
- • Recruit, onboard and nurture new brokers to expand the distribution channel
- • Drive increase in broker numbers and achieve product revenue targets
- • Ensure profitability and cost‑effectiveness of assigned products
- • Maintain internal controls, policies and procedures
- • Manage the sales pipeline and produce accurate business reports
- • Monitor cash‑and‑carry policy and ensure premiums are paid upfront
- • Coordinate with finance on IPF business matters
- • Conduct broker meetings and resolve inquiries promptly
- • Support development and launch of new insurance products
