Job Description
The Fleet New Technology Adviser guides ICRC technical staff worldwide on vehicle maintenance standards and emerging transportation technologies. Responsibilities include providing technical solutions, coordinating training, creating manuals, and ensuring technicians have access to necessary tools and resources. The adviser also liaises with manufacturers and supports preventive and corrective maintenance programmes. This remote full‑time role requires at least five years of experience in industrial vehicle technology.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent
- • Minimum five years of experience in industrial vehicle mechatronics, lifting equipment, or related fields
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Propose technical solutions and provide training to fleet technical staff worldwide
- • Centralise technical requests and liaise with delegations to resolve issues
- • Communicate with vehicle manufacturers’ technical hubs for support when needed
- • Ensure ICRC technicians have access to specialised tools and manufacturer technical resources
- • Create and distribute technical notes or repair manuals for identified issues
- • Organise and outsource training sessions with manufacturers such as Renault
- • Advise technicians on troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and mechanical problems
- • Provide the Fleet Management Unit with up‑to‑date technical manuals for field use
- • Coordinate preventive and curative visits and inspections using diagnostic tools
- • Develop and sustain a network of key technical contacts across delegations
