Job Description
The Freight Manager serves as the primary client contact for freight inquiries, cultivating strong relationships while delivering customized multi‑modal shipping solutions. The role analyses customer business models to design cost‑effective freight options, procures competitive rates and oversees shipments from origin to destination. It also supports sales teams, participates in joint sales visits, and resolves customer cases to ensure timely service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or HND in a related field
- • 3–5 years experience in air freight forwarding or logistics
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to analyze business models and develop tailored shipping solutions
- • Proficiency in rate negotiation and cost‑optimization

- • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to ensure loyalty and retention
- • Analyze customers' business models, routes, and volumes to design customized multi‑modal shipping solutions
- • Procure competitive freight rates and manage shipments from origin to destination across air, land, and sea
- • Support sales teams by providing expertise on freight solutions and assisting with complex shipments
- • Participate in joint sales visits to regain lost clients, close new deals, and cross‑sell services
- • Resolve customer cases and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery
