Job Description
The Full‑Time Faculty Orthopaedic Surgeon provides high‑quality spine and orthopaedic services, manages inpatient and outpatient care, and contributes to the department’s educational programmes. Responsibilities include performing surgeries, supervising residents, and participating in research and clinical teaching activities. Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Medical degree with orthopaedic surgery specialization
- • Minimum 5 years of orthopaedic training, including at least 1 year of spine surgery experience
- • Board certification or equivalent registration with the relevant medical authority
- • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and provide high‑quality patient care
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deliver orthopaedic and spine surgical services, including emergency cases
- • Admit, consult, diagnose and treat patients in the orthopaedic department
- • Order investigations, interpret results and coordinate care with subspecialists
- • Provide inpatient liaison services and manage outpatient clinics
- • Educate patients on consent, prevention and postoperative care
- • Prepare and lead regular clinical teaching sessions for residents
- • Supervise residents during rotations and assess their performance
- • Participate in research, quality improvement and departmental audits
