Job Description
The Faculty member and Programme Director will oversee the Adult Emergency Medicine programme, delivering high‑quality clinical care while teaching and mentoring medical trainees. Responsibilities include curriculum development, assessment, research leadership and ensuring accreditation standards are met.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- • Significant clinical experience in emergency medicine, preferably in an academic setting.
- • Demonstrated teaching and curriculum development experience.
- • Strong leadership, communication and research skills.
- • Eligibility for full‑time faculty appointment at Aga Khan University Hospital.

Responsibilities
- • Lead the Adult Emergency Medicine programme and oversee its academic curriculum.
- • Teach and supervise medical students, residents and fellows in emergency care.
- • Provide high‑quality clinical care in the emergency department.
- • Develop assessment tools, conduct examinations and evaluate trainee performance.
- • Foster research activities, secure funding and publish scholarly work.
- • Coordinate with hospital leadership to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- • Mentor junior faculty and contribute to departmental strategic planning.
