Qualifications & Requirements
- • Professional Certificate or vocational qualification in carpentry, joinery, or related trade.
- • 3–5 years experience as a furniture carpenter or cabinet maker.
- • Proven ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Interpret client briefs, technical drawings, and reference images to fabricate custom furniture such as wardrobes, beds, tables, and cabinets.
- • Source, measure, cut, shape, and smooth wood, laminates, veneers, and other materials according to project requirements.
- • Apply precise joinery methods (dowel, mortise‑and‑tenon, biscuit) and assemble pieces using appropriate adhesives, screws, and hardware.
- • Perform finishing operations including sanding, staining, sealing, painting, or varnishing to achieve a flawless surface.
- • Conduct rigorous quality inspections to ensure each piece meets or exceeds client standards.
