Job Description
The Graduate Assistant will pursue a fully funded MSc in Geospatial Information Science while conducting research for the Remote Sensing Research Group. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and preparing technical reports and presentations. Candidates must hold a first‑ or second‑class upper BSc in Geomatics or GIS and possess strong GIS programming skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • First‑class honours or second‑class upper division BSc in Geomatics, Geospatial Information Systems, or Remote Sensing.
- • Demonstrable experience in GIS programming and spatial tool development.
- • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL
- experience with TypeScript, Python frameworks, and Google Earth Engine is a plus.
- • Commitment to pursue a full‑time MSc with a scholarship.

Responsibilities
- • Conduct research for the MSc programme in Geospatial Information Science & Remote Sensing.
- • Collect and analyse field‑derived geospatial data.
- • Develop GIS programming tools and scripts using Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
- • Prepare technical presentations, reports, and summaries of research findings.
- • Collaborate with the Head of the Remote Sensing Research Group and other team members.
