Job Description
The Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Instructor delivers both theoretical and practical training to students, ensuring mastery of modern beauty techniques. Responsibilities include developing curriculum aligned with NITA/TVETA standards, assessing student performance, and maintaining a safe, well‑equipped learning environment. The instructor also stays current with industry trends to provide up‑to‑date instruction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or advanced certificate in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, or Cosmetology (higher national diploma or NITA certification preferred)
- • Minimum 2 years of teaching/training experience, or 3 + years as a senior stylist/beautician in a high‑end salon or spa
- • Familiarity with the NITA/TVETA competency‑based assessment framework
- • Proficiency in modern techniques such as microblading, acrylic nail extensions, dreadlock artistry, and advanced facial therapies
- • Excellent command of English and Kiswahili, both spoken and written
- • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills
