Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field
- • 7–10 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data‑driven technology leadership
- • Proven track record of delivering AI solutions in challenging or low‑resource settings
- • Strong expertise in predictive analytics, agentic systems, and offline AI deployment
- • Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, evaluate technology options and define architecture
- • Experience managing and growing high‑performing engineering teams
- • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and partnership building skills

- • Lead a team of engineers and AI specialists to design and deliver AI‑powered program solutions
- • Define and execute the technical strategy for the organization’s program‑facing AI portfolio
- • Translate AI ambitions into a clear roadmap, making build‑vs‑buy‑partner decisions and setting system architecture
- • Ensure AI systems operate reliably in low‑resource, high‑stakes environments, including offline smartphone deployments and safety‑critical agentic systems
- • Oversee quality assurance, testing, and validation of predictive analytics and diagnostic models
- • Foster a culture of engineering excellence and mentor team members to attract and retain top talent
- • Partner closely with programme managers to align AI solutions with humanitarian impact goals
