Job Description
As Head of Cross‑Border Trade & Regulatory Operations, the incumbent will lead the merchant‑of‑record function for the Kenya National Pavilion on JD.com, overseeing trade compliance and regulatory affairs. The role involves coordinating customs, managing partnerships, and developing strategies to expand market presence. Leadership experience in international trade and a deep knowledge of Kenyan regulations are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Trade, Law or related field
- • 5–7 years of experience in cross‑border trade, customs, or regulatory affairs
- • In‑depth knowledge of Kenyan trade regulations and e‑commerce platforms
- • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- • Ability to analyze trade data and drive process improvements
- • Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams

- • Lead cross‑border trade operations and act as merchant of record for JD.com pavilion
- • Ensure regulatory compliance with Kenyan import/export laws and customs procedures
- • Coordinate logistics, customs clearance, and documentation for international shipments
