Job Description
The finance leader will oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust management of cash flow, working capital and liquidity. They will prepare budgets, forecasts and business plans while delivering insightful performance analysis to senior leadership. The role includes strengthening internal controls, managing tax, audit and statutory compliance, and guiding strategic financial decisions. Leading and developing the finance team and optimizing ERP and analytical tools are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- • Minimum 10 years experience in finance leadership, preferably in organisations with inventory, multiple suppliers and currencies
- • Proven ability to manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity
- • Strong commercial acumen with capacity to provide strategic financial advice
- • Experience overseeing tax, audit and statutory compliance
- • Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing finance teams
- • High integrity, attention to detail and disciplined approach
- • Potential to progress to a CFO‑level role
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring effective financial management and control across the business
- • Lead cash‑flow, working‑capital and liquidity management, focusing on inventory, receivables and payables
- • Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and performance analysis, providing insights to the CEO and owners
- • Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow projections and business plans
- • Strengthen financial controls and mitigate leakage, errors and risks
- • Manage tax, audit, statutory compliance and related reporting requirements
- • Coordinate financial processes involving multiple suppliers, customers, currencies and project‑based operations
- • Lead, manage and develop the finance team, ensuring accountability and performance
- • Oversee effective use of ERP/accounting systems and Excel‑based financial analysis
- • Provide commercial and strategic financial advice to senior leadership and challenge decisions when appropriate
- • Support the business in improving profitability, cash generation and overall financial performance
- • Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
