Job Description
The Head of Fundraising & Business Development leads the organization’s fundraising strategy and drives new partnership opportunities to secure financial resources for Natural State.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Proven experience in senior fundraising and business development roles within the non‑profit or social sector.
- • Demonstrated success in securing large‑scale funding and building strategic partnerships.
- • Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Ability to develop and manage budgets and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets.
- • Identify, cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, corporate partners and grant makers.
- • Lead the preparation of funding proposals, reports and presentations.
- • Oversee business development initiatives, including market analysis and partnership negotiations.
- • Manage a team of fundraising and BD professionals, providing coaching and performance oversight.
- • Monitor fundraising performance metrics and adjust tactics to optimise results.
- • Represent the organization at networking events and stakeholder meetings.
