Job Description
The Head of HR leads the development and execution of human‑resource strategies for an oil‑and‑gas operation, overseeing workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations and performance management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field
- • Relevant professional HR qualification or membership
- • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
- • Experience supporting oil and gas or other high‑risk, asset‑intensive operations
- • Master’s degree in HR or Business Administration is an advantage

Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement the overall HR strategy, annual operating plan and budget
- • Translate business needs into workforce plans, staffing structures and succession priorities
- • Advise senior leadership on organisational design, restructuring and change management
- • Lead recruitment, onboarding and succession planning for critical roles
- • Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes and union engagement
- • Drive performance management, objective setting and improvement plans
- • Manage reward, payroll and people‑cost budgeting
- • Provide HR governance, policy maintenance and HRIS data quality
- • Produce regular HR dashboards on turnover, vacancies, absenteeism and workforce costs
