Job Description
The Head of Sales will lead the FMCG sales organization, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve revenue and market‑share goals. Responsibilities include coaching a high‑performing team, managing budgets and forecasts, and expanding distribution channels. The role also requires strong relationships with key accounts and collaboration with cross‑functional departments to drive growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- • Minimum 10 years proven experience in sales and sales management, preferably in FMCG.
- • At least 5 years in a senior sales leadership or commercial management position.
- • Strong understanding of FMCG markets, distribution channels and route‑to‑market strategies.
- • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- • Strong leadership, coaching and team‑development skills.
- • Excellent customer service and problem‑solving orientation.
- • Ability to collaborate across functions and work independently.
- • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software.
- • Strategic thinking, market analysis and negotiation skills.

- • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue, volume and market‑share targets.
- • Lead, coach and motivate a high‑performing sales team across key channels and territories.
- • Set sales targets, monitor performance and enforce accountability against KPIs.
- • Drive market expansion, distribution growth, brand penetration and customer acquisition.
- • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers and retail partners.
- • Identify new business opportunities through market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, pipelines and resource allocation.
- • Oversee route‑to‑market strategies and optimise sales coverage and execution.
- • Collaborate with marketing, finance, supply chain and other departments to align commercial objectives.
- • Negotiate strategic agreements and commercial terms with key customers and partners.
- • Monitor market trends, pricing, promotions and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
