Job Description
The Head of Tax for EBKL leads the development and execution of the Group’s tax strategy, ensuring compliance, governance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role interfaces with senior management, regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders. Candidates must have extensive tax expertise, strong leadership, and at least five years of senior management experience in finance. The position is remote and supports Equity Bank’s regional operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc or HND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, plus professional tax certification
- • Minimum 10 years of tax experience, including senior management roles
- • At least 5 years of experience leading tax functions in a banking environment
- • Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies across multiple jurisdictions
- • Strong analytical, governance, and compliance expertise
