Job Description
The position provides strategic leadership for quality assurance and academic excellence across the university. The incumbent will design and implement policies, frameworks and standards that enhance teaching, learning and service delivery. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum reviews, audit processes, and continuous improvement initiatives while guiding the department’s budget and planning. The role requires a master’s degree and extensive experience in higher‑education quality management.

- • Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and monitor implementation of academic excellence and quality assurance strategies, policies, frameworks, procedures and standards to improve teaching, learning and service delivery.
- • Develop quality assurance strategy, program, policy, procedures, plan and guidelines.
- • Participate in the curriculum review processes and ensure compliance with the Commission for Higher Education (CUE), ANU, and market requirements.
- • Identify new educational trends for new curriculum, offerings, redesigns and initiatives.
- • Participate and coordinate internal and external audit processes and prepare reports.
- • Lead external audit processes and ensure recommendations for improvement are implemented.
- • Develop an annual audit plan for internal academic and non‑academic processes.
- • Set up quality controls and tools, and audit internal teaching and non‑teaching processes.
- • Recommend and implement improvements.
- • Facilitate workshops and meetings to sensitize staff on academic excellence and quality assurance standards.
- • Develop and monitor the department’s annual plan and budget.
- • Provide technical advice and reports to management as required.
