Job Description
The HGV Driver performs night‑shunting operations for DHL, ensuring safe and efficient loading, docking and movement of trucks at the KBL site. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, timely vehicle turnaround, and accurate completion of delivery documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE (high school) qualification
- • Valid heavy goods vehicle licence with at least 5 years of relevant driving experience
- • Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- • Ability to maintain vehicle condition and report issues
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Load and dock trucks at the KBL site within established KPIs
- • Shunt loaded trucks to Kasarani using a heavy goods commercial vehicle
- • Ensure vehicle safety, compliance with legal requirements and report any anomalies promptly
- • Follow standard operating procedures for loading and off‑loading, completing all required documentation
- • Drive DHL vehicles on approved routes while upholding company values and traffic laws
