Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the cleanliness, orderliness and overall appearance of the hotel, managing staff and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. They assist in preparing the annual housekeeping budget, maintain inventory of supplies, and develop procedures and training programs. The role requires a bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field and at least four years of relevant hotel housekeeping experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Operations or a related field
- • Minimum of four years of relevant housekeeping experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
- • Good knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures and room preparation
- • Knowledge of proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment
- • Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards
- • Ability to inspect guest rooms, public areas and other hotel facilities to ensure required standards are maintained
- • Ability to supervise, train and allocate duties to housekeeping staff
