Job Description
The HR Manager – Supermarkets will design and implement people strategies that align with business objectives across all supermarket locations. Responsibilities include workforce planning, staffing optimisation, employee‑relations guidance and performance‑management leadership. The role also ensures compliance with Kenyan labour legislation and drives employee‑engagement initiatives to foster a high‑performance culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- MBA/MSc/MA or professional HR certification preferred
- • 10–15 years of HR experience, preferably in retail or supermarket environments
- • In‑depth knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and HR best practices
- • Proven ability to develop and execute workforce planning and performance‑management strategies
- • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills

- • Partner with branch and business leaders to translate objectives into people strategies that enhance operational effectiveness
- • Lead workforce planning, staffing optimisation and deployment across supermarket branches
- • Provide strategic guidance on employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters in line with Kenyan labour law
- • Drive performance‑management processes, including goal setting, reviews and accountability
- • Design and implement employee‑engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and retention
- • Ensure compliance with labour regulations and company policies
