Job Description
The HR Manager for supermarkets will shape the people strategy across all supermarket locations, driving talent acquisition, development, engagement, and compliance with Kenyan labour laws. The role partners with business leaders to optimise workforce planning, manage employee relations, and lead performance management initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- • MBA, MSc, or MA and professional HR certification preferred
- • 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail
- • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities

- • Lead the overall HR strategy for supermarket operations
- • Partner with business leaders to align people initiatives with commercial goals
- • Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and manpower optimisation
- • Manage employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes
- • Drive performance management cycles, including goal setting and reviews
- • Develop and implement employee engagement and development programs
- • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour legislation and company policies
- • Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and HR analytics
