Job Description

The Hydrogeology Advisor provides expert technical guidance on groundwater modelling and hydrogeological design for water and sanitation projects. The role leads the development of data collection, modeling, and reporting processes while mentoring junior staff and ensuring sustainable resource management. It also supports decision‑making tools for optimal allocation of water resources and collaborates closely with WASH teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Master’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, or related field (Ph.D. desirable)
  • • Minimum 7 years of experience in groundwater modelling, statistical and numerical methods, and GIS
  • • Proven experience in contaminant modelling, remediation, and risk assessment of water systems
  • • Experience in teaching, applied research, or capacity building in hydrogeology or geology
  • • Authorship of peer‑reviewed publications in international journals or conferences
  • • Fluent English communication skills
