Job Description
The IFF Operator provides front‑line customer service and manages cargo clearance processes for clients. The role involves handling client orders, coordinating documentation, tracking shipment status and communicating progress in real time. Strong organizational and analytical abilities are essential to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in a relevant field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in clearing and forwarding operations
- • Strong organizational, analytical and leadership skills
- • Proficient computer literacy and familiarity with customs clearance processes
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Manage day‑to‑day operational relationships with clients and handle their cargo orders
- • Request and verify missing documentation and provide detailed instructions when needed
- • Update clients on file processing progress and deliver real‑time shipment status reports
- • Prepare and submit shipment status reports and billing files
- • Monitor and update the IFFOS system with file progress and status
- • Follow up on bond applications and provide status updates
- • Analyse clearance times and prepare delivery plans and required documents
- • Alert management and clients to any operational issues promptly
