Job Description
The IFFO Supervisor coordinates sugar shipments from various origins to Mombasa Port, ensuring all clearance documents are in order and deliveries are completed for clients in Kenya and Uganda. The role tracks container movements to warehouses, maintains stock records, and prepares weekly reports. It also monitors regulatory changes, manages shipping applications and permits, and oversees stock level monitoring.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in shipping, logistics, or a related maritime field
- • Minimum 8 years experience in shipping, logistics, or customs clearance
- • Strong knowledge of import regulations and documentation requirements
- • Excellent communication and coordination skills
- • Ability to monitor stock levels and prepare accurate reports
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Liaise with Czarnikow to book shipments from various origins to Mombasa Port
- • Ensure receipt of all clearance documents and smooth clearance and delivery for Czarnikow clients in Kenya and Uganda
- • Track containers from the port to warehouses in Mombasa, Nairobi, and Kampala
- • Maintain sugar stock records and prepare weekly stock reports
- • Advise Czarnikow of changes in government policies and regulations affecting sugar importation
- • Follow up sugar deliveries to clients and keep records of agreed rates
- • Monitor sugar stock levels
- • Coordinate IDF applications for proforma invoices with Czarnikow shipping desk
- • Ensure C60 (EGPSP) applications are submitted to Treasury
- • Follow up shipping schedules with Czarnikow
- • Liaise with inspection bodies for issuance of conformity certifications
- • Follow up sugar permit applications and approvals with Czarnikow shipping desk
- • Ensure all required shipping documents are received and in order
- • Ensure all relevant clearance documents are received by AGL
