Job Description
The Membership Intern will support the growth and engagement of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers’ membership base by assisting with outreach, recruitment and communication activities. Duties include identifying prospective member companies, conducting contact campaigns, presenting the value proposition and maintaining accurate recruitment records. The intern will also help plan networking events and develop promotional materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or equivalent qualification
- • Strong interest in marketing, business development and membership recruitment
- • Excellent communication, persuasion and presentation abilities
- • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- • Self‑driven, target‑oriented and comfortable undertaking field visits
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify and map potential member companies within the sector
- • Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails and field visits to prospective members
- • Present and promote the association’s membership value proposition
- • Follow up on leads and maintain accurate recruitment progress records
- • Assist in planning and coordinating member engagement meetings and networking events
- • Support development and preparation of marketing materials, briefs and promotional content
- • Contribute to measurable growth in membership numbers and visibility
