Job Description
The internship supports IUCN’s membership communications, assisting in the creation and distribution of content that engages government and civil society members. Responsibilities include drafting newsletters, updating membership databases, and helping coordinate events and outreach initiatives. The role offers exposure to conservation communication strategies and collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Environmental Studies, International Relations or a related field
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management tools
- • Passion for conservation and understanding of IUCN’s mission
- • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment
- • High level of organization and attention to detail
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Draft and edit newsletters, bulletins and other communications for IUCN members
- • Update and maintain the membership database and contact lists
- • Assist in planning and coordinating member events, webinars and outreach activities
- • Support the creation of social media content and website updates related to membership
- • Conduct research and prepare reports on membership trends and engagement metrics
- • Provide general administrative support to the Membership Communications team
