Job Description
The International Supply Chain Senior Officer will manage procurement requests, source suppliers and oversee the distribution of goods to Save the Children’s country offices. The role ensures compliance with donor regulations, optimises value for money and maintains accurate documentation. Strong coordination with suppliers, logistics partners and internal teams is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field
- • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (preferred)
- • Demonstrated experience in international procurement and distribution
- • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- • Knowledge of donor compliance and good distribution practice
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Receive, review and process international procurement requests from country offices
- • Obtain quotations, conduct bid analysis and secure best‑value contracts under Global FWA agreements
- • Act as the primary liaison between countries and suppliers for procurement and distribution
- • Manage sourcing activities using the ProSave procurement system
- • Arrange and monitor transport of procured items, supporting customs clearance documentation
- • Archive procurement and distribution records accurately and maintain trackers
- • Update and share the international procurement and distribution tracker with relevant stakeholders
- • Coordinate with 3PL providers and country offices for shipment delivery by land, air or sea
- • Interpret and apply donor rules, standards and regulations related to international shipping
- • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve logistical issues
